The sizing is not very good

The sizing is not very good. I am a size 8 - 10 and ordered a small and a medium for my daughter who is a size 12 - 14.
They are both much too large and expose quite a lot of your body and swim suit once you have worked out how to put them on. It looks quite simple from the photo, but it isn't straight forward, and there were no instructions included. I did contact the company via E-Mail and asked if i could return them, but was informed that as the company is abroad the postage would cost too much and it wouldn't be worth returning them, so now I am left with unusable dresses which don't fit.
The material was not as expected either, but I could have lived with that, if they fitted correctly.

This wrap around dress is made of very poor quality Lycra. There is nowhere near enough fabric used, even with me buying one of the largest sizes?
